THE CHALLENGES OF COMING OUT: THE IMPACT ON WELL BEING
Tracking # 20-409487
Course overview
The coming out process is a definitively unique and fluid process for each person. However, there appear to be five common elements related to decision-making and the evaluation of self-awareness and readiness to disclose, timing, assessing level of acceptability, evaluating the capability to manage myriad reactions and planning for the potential positive or negative impact. These elements may differ based on age, sex, gender, identity, race/ethnicity, socioeconomic status and religion.
