Course overview

Vaginal medicines are formulations specifically designed for insertion into a woman's vagina. Vaginal medications may be administered in an acute care, skilled nursing, outpatient, or home environment. This continuing education module is designed to give the reader/learner an increased understanding of relevant research regarding administering medication by vaginal instillation including procedure, supplies, and complications, and to aid in caring for the patient with requiring this procedure. Readers may explore any or all of the topics. One contact hour of continuing education credit is available for those who successfully complete the post-test and evaluation form.
