Course overview
Intradermal medication is typically ordered for the purpose of diagnostic allergy and tuberculin skin testing, and to provide intradermal anesthesia (e.g., bupivacaine, lidocaine) prior to minor surgery or the placement of intravenous lines. This continuing education module is designed to give the reader/learner an increased understanding of how to administer intradermal medication. Readers may explore any or all of the topics. One contact hour of continuing education credit is available for those who successfully complete the post-test and evaluation form.
