Withdrawing medications from two vials into one syringe is indicated when the medications have been ordered to be given in combination and to reduce the number of injections required. This continuing education module is designed to give the reader/learner an increased understanding of mixing medications from two vials into one syringe, including indications for the procedure and how to maintain aseptic technique.
