BRUXISM IN CHILDREN

Course overview

Bruxism refers to a habitual grinding, gnashing, or clenching of the teeth that serves no function. Bruxism is usually subconscious and may occur while a person is awake or asleep (i.e., sleep bruxism); it may be present intermittently or temporarily. This continuing education module is designed to give the reader/learner an increased understanding of bruxism in children, its clinical presentation, symptoms, and treatment for patients with this diagnosis. Readers may explore any or all of the topics. One contact hour of continuing education credit is available for those who successfully complete the post-test and evaluation form.
