Course overview

In this Practical, clinicians will learn how to confidently assess and diagnose patellofemoral pain. The course walks through the key components of a thorough subjective and physical examination - what information matters most, how to interpret it, and how it guides both diagnosis and management. Clinicians will learn how to confirm patellofemoral pain, rule out other sources of anterior knee pain such as patellar tendinopathy or fat pad impingement, and identify contributing factors including functional impairments, strength deficits, balance issues, and range-of-motion limitations.
