Course overview
This 2-hour course provides clinical laboratory personnel with updated, evidence-based knowledge on HIV/AIDS, covering transmission, the HIV life cycle and stages of infection, current diagnostic testing (including the CDC/APHL algorithm), national screening recommendations, prevention strategies such as PrEP and nPEP, management of occupational and nonoccupational exposures, and applicable Florida statutes on HIV testing, reporting, confidentiality, and patient rights.
