Course overview

Coffin-Siris syndrome (CSS) is an extremely rare genetic disorder characterized by absent nails of the fifth finger, absent or hypoplastic distal phalanges of the fifth finger, short stature, coarse facial features (i.e., broad nose with flat nasal bridge, wide mouth), microcephaly, sparse scalp hair, hirsutism, developmental delays, mental retardation, and hypotonia. This continuing education module is designed to give the reader/learner an increased understanding of CSS, including its clinical presentation, symptoms and treatment, and to aid in caring for patients with this diagnosis. Readers may explore any or all of the topics. One contact hour of continuing education credit is available for those who successfully complete the post-test and evaluation form.
