DELUSIONAL DISORDER: AN OVERVIEW

Course overview

Delusional disorder (DD) is a psychotic disorder in which a person has false beliefs about events and situations (e.g., being followed, being poisoned, and being cheated) that could realistically happen, are not occurring, but are held as a persistent false belief despite evidence to the contrary. This continuing education module is designed to give the reader/learner an increased understanding of delusional disorder, its clinical presentation, symptoms, and treatment for patients with this diagnosis. Readers may explore any or all of the topics. One contact hour of continuing education credit is available for those who successfully complete the post-test and evaluation form.
