Course overview

Delusional disorder (DD) is a psychotic condition in which a person has false beliefs about events and situations (e.g., being followed, being poisoned, being cheated) that could realistically happen but are not occurring, and that are held as persistent beliefs despite evidence to the contrary. This continuing education module is designed to give the reader/learner an increased understanding of delusional disorder, its clinical presentation, symptoms, and treatment, and to aid in caring for the patient with this diagnosis. Readers may explore any or all of the topics. One contact hour of continuing education credit is available for those who successfully complete the post-test and evaluation form.
