CRIGLER-NAJJAR SYNDROME

Course overview

Crigler-Najjar syndrome (CN) type 1 and 2 are rare, inherited, autosomal recessive disorders involving abnormal metabolism of bilirubin. In CN, bilirubin is accumulated in excess and cannot be broken down. This continuing education module is designed to give the reader/learner an increased understanding of CN, its clinical presentation, symptoms, and treatment, and to aid in caring for patients with this diagnosis. Readers may explore any or all of the topics. One contact hour of continuing education credit is available for those who successfully complete the post-test and evaluation form.
