Tracking # 20-410667
$99999.00
Course overview
Breastfeeding is highly beneficial to the infant and mother and should be initiated and continued unless sufficient evidence exists to indicate otherwise (e.g., the presence of a contraindicating medical condition or the need for maternal treatment with drugs that are unsafe to the infant). This continuing education module is designed to give the reader/learner an increased understanding of the effect of PDs on breastfeeding, including the need for PDs by breastfeeding women and the adverse effects of PDs on the breastfeeding infant, and to aid in caring for the breastfeeding mother taking psychotropic medications. Readers may explore any or all of the topics. One contact hour of continuing education credit is available for those who successfully complete the post-test and evaluation form.
