HYDROXYUREA (HYDREA, DROXIA)

Course overview

Hydroxyurea is U.S. FDA-approved to treat resistant chronic myeloid leukemia (CML), squamous cell head/neck cancer (in combination with radiotherapy), malignant melanoma (second-line), recurrent/metastatic/inoperable ovarian cancer (second-line); and to reduce crisis frequency and blood transfusion need in adults with sickle cell anemia (SCA). This continuing education module is designed to give the reader/learner an increased understanding of hydroxyurea. Readers may explore any or all of the topics. One contact hour of continuing education credit is available for those who successfully complete the post-test and evaluation form.
