Course overview

Extranodal NK/T-cell lymphoma (ENKTL) is a rare and aggressive subtype of cutaneous T-cell lymphoma (CTCL). In ENKTL, natural killer (NK) cells, a type of white blood cell (i.e., lymphocyte), and/or, less often, T-cell lymphocytes, undergo malignant transformation and invade the nasal cavity, upper respiratory and upper gastrointestinal (GI) tracts (e.g., nasopharynx, paranasal sinuses, oral cavity, larynx, hypopharynx), and kidneys. This continuing education module is designed to give the reader/learner an increased understanding of nasal type extranodal NK/T-cell lymphoma, its clinical presentation, symptoms, and treatment, and to aid in caring for the patient with this diagnosis. Readers may explore any or all of the topics. One contact hour of continuing education credit is available for those who successfully complete the post-test and evaluation form.
