Course overview
Shaving a male patient consists of removing facial hair. Discomfort and itching can result from the accumulation of oil and dirt on the face due to the presence of facial hair. This continuing education module is designed to give the reader/learner an increased understanding of relevant research on the general principles of shaving a male patient, including why facial hair is shaved, patient safety when shaving a patient, and how to shave a patient. Readers may explore any or all of the topics. One contact hour of continuing education credit is available for those who successfully complete the post-test and evaluation form.
