ETRAVIRINE (INTELENCE)

Course overview

Etravirine (ETV) is a non-nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitor (NNRTI) that is U.S. FDA-approved to treat HIV-1 infection with drug-resistant strains in previously treated patients ≥ 6 years with evidence of continued HIV-1 replication despite ongoing antiretroviral therapy, in combination with other antiretroviral agents as part of highly active antiretroviral therapy (HAART). This continuing education module is designed to give the reader/learner an increased understanding of etravirine. Readers may explore any or all of the topics. One contact hour of continuing education credit is available for those who successfully complete the post-test and evaluation form.
