INHALERS: USING METERED DOSE INHALERS AND DRY POWDER INHALERS

Course overview

Inhalers are hand-held devices that deliver medication to the tracheobronchial airway in the treatment of asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), and other respiratory illnesses. This continuing education module is designed to give the reader/learner an increased understanding of the use of metered dose and dry powder inhalers, including indications for inhalers and the correct technique for their use. Readers may explore any or all of the topics. One contact hour of continuing education credit is available for those who successfully complete the post-test and evaluation form.
