Course overview
Bone marrow transplantation (BMT; also referred to as a stem cell transplant) is the process of using hematopoietic stem cells to treat malignant and nonmalignant disorders such as leukemia, lymphoma, neuroblastoma, multiple myeloma, and sickle cell anemia. This continuing education module is designed to give the reader/learner an increased understanding of providing discharge instructions to patients and caregivers after BMT. Readers may explore any or all of the topics. One contact hour of continuing education credit is available for those who successfully complete the post-test and evaluation form.
