Course overview
Lymphedema (LE) is the accumulation of lymphatic fluid (i.e., a combination of water, fats, protein, waste, and bacteria) in surrounding tissue due to an obstruction that prevents lymphatic fluid from flowing into the circulatory system. This continuing education module is designed to give the reader/learner an increased understanding of the management of cancer-related LE, including interventions used for active and maintenance management of LE, and to aid in caring for patients with this diagnosis. Readers may explore any or all of the topics. One contact hour of continuing education credit is available for those who successfully complete the post-test and evaluation form.
