Course overview

•Acute subdural hematoma (ASDH) is caused by bleeding from the cortical artery, a parenchymal injury, or venous tearing that results in blood pooling in the subdural space (i.e., the space between the dura [i.e., the outermost of three membrane layers that cover the brain] and the brain itself). This continuing education module is designed to give the reader/learner an increased understanding of breech, its clinical presentation, symptoms, and treatment for patients with this diagnosis. Readers may explore any or all of the topics. One contact hour of continuing education credit is available for those who successfully complete the post-test and evaluation form.
