Course overview

Proper nutrition is necessary for normal childhood growth and development. In addition to being a routine part of the annual well-child examination, a child’s nutritional status may be monitored for a number of reasons, including to assess the effect of serious illness on the child’s nutrition. This continuing education module is designed to give the reader/learner an increased understanding of the procedure for assessing nutritional status in children. Readers may explore any or all of the topics. One contact hour of continuing education credit is available for those who successfully complete the post-test and evaluation form.
