Course overview
Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) is a chronic and relapsing anxiety disorder marked by persistent thoughts and/or repetitive compulsive actions that impair daily functioning. The repetitive actions can be mental or physical acts, either of which is perceived by the individual as reducing anxiety. This continuing education module is designed to give the reader/learner an increased understanding of OCD, including its clinical presentation, associated comorbid disorders, risk factors, and treatment, and to aid in caring for the patient with this diagnosis. Readers may explore any or all of the topics. One contact hour of continuing education credit is available for those who successfully complete the post-test and evaluation form.
