Course overview

Olmesartan/amLODIPine/hydrochlorothiazide (HCTZ) is U.S. FDA-approved to treat hypertension; it is not indicated for initial therapy. It must be used cautiously in patients with allergy or bronchial asthma, volume or salt depletion, severe aortic stenosis, unilateral or bilateral renal artery stenosis, severe heart failure, severe obstructive coronary artery disease, diabetes mellitus, or systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). This continuing education module is designed to give the reader/learner an increased understanding of olmesartan/amlodipine/HCTZ. Readers may explore any or all of the topics. One contact hour of continuing education credit is available for those who successfully complete the post-test and evaluation form.
