MYCOPHENOLATE (CELLCEPT, MYFORTIC)

Course overview

Mycophenolate is U.S. FDA-approved to prevent graft rejection in patients undergoing renal (CellCept, Myfortic), hepatic or cardiac (CellCept only) transplants, in conjunction with cyclosporine and corticosteroids. It must be used cautiously in patients with severe renal impairment, serious active GI disease, history of opportunistic infections, or phenylketonuria (oral suspension only). This continuing education module is designed to give the reader/learner an increased understanding of mycophenolate. Readers may explore any or all of the topics. One contact hour of continuing education credit is available for those who successfully complete the post-test and evaluation form.
