PARENT TEACHING: APNEA HOME MONITORING OF THE NEWBORN

Course overview

In select clinical situations, newborns with apnea of infancy (AOI) or apnea of prematurity (AOP) are discharged from the hospital with apnea home monitoring for a prescribed period of time. This continuing education module is designed to give the reader/learner information about teaching the parents and caregivers about apnea monitoring and care of the newborn at home. Readers may explore any or all of the topics. One contact hour of continuing education credit is available for those who successfully complete the post-test and evaluation form.
