PARENT TEACHING: INFANT MASSAGE

Course overview

Infant massage (i.e., gentle nurturing touch and respectful communication with infants) has been practiced informally for many years as a part of traditional parenting styles in cultures around the world. In the last 30 years, it has become more popular in the United States and Europe, particularly in community settings. This continuing education module is designed to give the reader/learner information about teaching parents about infant massage. Readers may explore any or all of the topics. One contact hour of continuing education credit is available for those who successfully complete the post-test and evaluation form.
