PACLITAXEL PROTEIN-BOUND (ABRAXANE)

Course overview

PACLitaxel protein-bound (PPB) is U.S. FDA-approved to treat metastatic breast cancer that is refractory to combination chemotherapy, and breast cancer that recurs within 6 months of adjuvant chemotherapy. It must be used cautiously in patients with hepatic impairment; men should not father children while receiving PPB. This continuing education module is designed to give the reader/learner an increased understanding of PPB. Readers may explore any or all of the topics. One contact hour of continuing education credit is available for those who successfully complete the post-test and evaluation form.
