Course overview
Primary mucosal melanoma (MM) is a rare disease, accounting for < 2% of melanoma cases worldwide. Over 50% of all cases occur in the mucous membranes of the head/neck (HNMM). This continuing education module is designed to give the reader/learner an increased understanding of relevant research on MM, including evidence-based information on etiology, risk factors, disease staging, and treatment, and to aid in caring for the patient with this diagnosis. Readers may explore any or all of the topics. One contact hour of continuing education credit is available for those who successfully complete the post-test and evaluation form.
