Course overview
Neuroblastoma (NB), a cancer of the sympathetic nervous system, is the most common tumor in infants, and the most common extracranial solid tumor in children. In some patients it is extremely aggressive resulting in death despite maximal therapy; in others, it regresses spontaneously or differentiates into a noncancerous tumor. This continuing education module is designed to give the reader/learner an increased understanding of neuroblastoma, and to aid in caring for the patient with this diagnosis. Readers may explore any or all of the topics. One contact hour of continuing education credit is available for those who successfully complete the post-test and evaluation form.
