PARENT TEACHING: SCHIZOPHRENIA IN CHILDREN

Course overview

Parent teaching about schizophrenia is broadly defined as the process of providing disease- and treatment-based information to parents of children with schizophrenia to increase their knowledge and understanding of schizophrenia and its treatment, and to enhance their abilities to cope with this debilitating mental illness. This continuing education module is designed to give the reader/learner information about teaching parents about childhood schizophrenia. Readers may explore any or all of the topics. One contact hour of continuing education credit is available for those who successfully complete the post-test and evaluation form.
