Teaching parents about sleep in infants and children involves the process of educating parents to increase their knowledge of normal sleep patterns and common sleep issues in infants and children, improve their skills necessary for successful management of sleep issues in their children, and enhance their ability to cope with sleep issues in their children. This continuing education module is designed to give the reader/learner an increased understanding of parent teaching about sleep in infants and children, including a step-by-step process and the benefits of parent education on this topic. Readers may explore any or all of the topics. One contact hour of continuing education credit is available for those who successfully complete the post-test and evaluation form.
