PATIENT EDUCATION: PREVENTING LYMPHEDEMA

Course overview

Patient education about preventing lymphedema is the process of providing information to the patient about the causes of lymphedema, lifelong risk reduction behaviors, and the importance of early identification of symptoms and prompt treatment. This continuing education module is designed to give the reader/learner an increased understanding of patient education about preventing lymphedema. Readers may explore any or all of the topics. One contact hour of continuing education credit is available for those who successfully complete the post-test and evaluation form.
