Osteoporosis, the most common bone disease today, is characterized by decreased bone density and weakening of bony microvasculature, leading to bone fragility and increased risk of fractures. This continuing education module is designed to give the reader/learner information about teaching patients about osteoporosis. Readers may explore any or all of the topics. One contact hour of continuing education credit is available for those who successfully complete the post-test and evaluation form.
