Through this course you will learn introductory information on trauma informed care. You will be able to define a traumatic event and identify symptoms in your clients. You will gain information on how to screen for potentially traumatic histories in your clients and learn how they can contribute to struggles later in life. It is important to create a safe space for healing in trauma-focused treatment, and this course will provide information on how to create that space; including how to communicate safety and effectively.
