Course overview
The supine position (SP) is defined as lying on the dorsum, or back, with the face and abdomen facing upward. The SP is the most normally relaxed position for most individuals because it permits maximal body alignment. This continuing education module is designed to give the reader/learner an increased understanding of the SP in order to better care for patients. Readers may explore any or all of the topics. One contact hour of continuing education credit is available for those who successfully complete the post-test and evaluation form.
