ETHICS FOR ACUPUNCTURE AND CHINESE MEDICINE PRACTITIONERS

Course overview

This course has been specifically designed for clinicians of Oriental Medicine, and is intended to be illuminating and thought provoking. The class begins with “What Exactly is Ethics”? in a general and straight forward sense, and then moves on to includes several established Codes of Ethics within medicine. It talks about the history of Ethics by the AMA and even the Hippocratic Oath. The second segment will cover Ethical issues and situations that could, and have, occur in Oriental Medical practice, including several real life Ethical violations in the Oriental Medical community across the country. The last segment covers the ethical quandaries that OM practitioners have shared during previous live offerings of this course, and the ethical problem solving that go with them.
