Course overview

0202-9999-25-290-H01-P Routes of administration for long-acting injectable medications vary from the typical subcutaneous and intramuscular route that pharmacists are used to using for delivery of vaccines. This component of the Program will provide an overview of medication administration services (MAS), explore which medications are appropriate for MAS, and review the logistics of providing MAS. Additionally, the eLearning component will review the various routes of administration for LAI injectable medications and provide video demonstrations for appropriate techniques for the use of the intramuscular route for injections and will also describe how to administer intramuscular injections at deltoid and ventrogluteal sites.
