Course overview
This course discusses the history of the GLP-1 RA and incretin effect. This course will also discuss the FDA-approved uses of GLP-1 RAs, as well as the pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, adverse events, and contraindications of this pharmacological class. Nursing care of the patient using GLP-1 RAs will also be discussed, including the use of compounded and counterfeit GLP-1 RA agents
