Program Description: This presentation will provide an overview of reportable diseases of small ruminants, how to identify reportable diseases for your location, the logistics of reporting and the consequences. Anthrax, coxiellosis (Q fever), tularemia, Rift Valley fever, and screwworm will be reviewed in more detail with an emphasis on key takeaway points about the clinical presentation, diagnosis, zoonotic potential, and response. Learning Objectives: 1. Identify location-specific and national resources for reportable disease lists, reportable disease questions, and actual disease reporting for small ruminants 2. Increase awareness and recognition of zoonotic risks of specific reportable diseases of small ruminants 3. Recognize preventive measures to avoid or reduce animal disease and prevent human infections
