Course overview
Allergic rhinitis, commonly referred to as hay fever, is the most common form of rhinitis. It is characterized by an immunoglobulin E (IgE)-mediated inflammatory process as a result of exposure to an allergen. This continuing education module is designed to give the reader/learner an increased understanding of patient and family education about allergic rhinitis, including its clinical presentation, symptoms, and treatment, and to aid in teaching the patient with this diagnosis. Readers may explore any or all of the topics. One contact hour of continuing education credit is available for those who successfully complete the post-test and evaluation form.
