STROKE COMPLICATIONS: URINATION DISORDERS

Course overview

The frontal lobe of the brain, which receives its blood supply from the middle and anterior cerebral arteries, plays a large role in bladder control; it is also a common site of stroke. Urination disorders following stroke are common. This continuing education module is designed to give the reader/learner an increased understanding of the stroke complication of urination disorders, including its clinical presentation, symptoms, and treatment, and to aid in caring for the patient with this diagnosis. Readers may explore any or all of the topics. One contact hour of continuing education credit is available for those who successfully complete the post-test and evaluation form.
