Course overview
Shared psychotic disorder (SPD) is a rare psychiatric disorder shared by two—or occasionally three or more—people who have established emotional ties within the context of their relationship (e.g., sibling, parent, spouse). Typically, a primary, or “inducer,” individual establishes the delusional, or false, belief(s) and the other person(s) supports it or develops a similar delusion.
