STROKE REHABILITATION: GAIT RETRAINING USING A TREADMILL

Course overview

Stroke adversely impacts the ability to ambulate. Approximately one-third of stroke survivors are unable to walk or are unable to walk without assistance at the conclusion of inpatient rehabilitation. This continuing education module is designed to give the reader/learner an increased understanding of gait retraining using a treadmill in stroke rehabilitation, including outcomes for gait training to aid in caring for the patient with this diagnosis. Readers may explore any or all of the topics. One contact hour of continuing education credit is available for those who successfully complete the post-test and evaluation form.
