Course overview

Building strong clinical teams is at the core of the modern healthcare system. The current optimal patient care model is the interdisciplinary team, in which physicians, nurses, and other clinicians work closely together, communicate constantly, establish mutually attainable goals, and build upon their own strengths using the strengths of other disciplines. This continuing education module is designed to give the reader/learner an increased understanding of teambuilding, with an emphasis on the role of the nurse manager. Readers may explore any or all of the topics. One contact hour of continuing education credit is available for those who successfully complete the post-test and evaluation form.
