Course overview

Hydrocolloid wound dressings are moisture-retentive dressings that are used to protect and absorb drainage from wounds with a small to moderate amount of exudate. They are available in many forms, including paste, powder, gel, and sheets. This continuing education module is designed to give the reader/learner an increased understanding of how hydrocolloid wound dressings can be used to promote wound healing. Readers may explore any or all of the topics. One contact hour of continuing education credit is available for those who successfully complete the post-test and evaluation form.
