Course overview

This course satisfies the Florida requirement for Biomedicine, and covers the ba- sics of Pharmacokinetics and Pharmacodynamics: how substances get in to the body, how they get where they are going, how the body eliminates them, and how they work once in the body.This information comes from the world of pharmacology, but is helpful and applies to many things as well: food, water, vitamins, supplements, proteins, sugars, and herbs. This information will be presented in a useful and practical way and is helpful for all acupuncturists, and your patients, whether you use herbs or not. And it provides simple usable knowledge that will help those prescribing herbs or supplements to patients using any pharmaceutical.
