Course overview

This course reviews the importance of the Inverse Square Law with respect to Radiation Protection. It is the quickest, simplest, and least expensive way to minimize radiation dose to humans. The course gives a comprehensive overview of the concept of Inverse Square Law and defines the mathematical relationship between intensity of a point source and the distance between source and detector. It covers examples of point sources and differentiates between these sources and collimated beams. In addition, there is a whole section devoted to solving math problems based on the Inverse Square Law. Finally, there is an overview of the Gamma Ray Dose Constant and its relationship to the ISL
