Course overview
This 24-week course provides veterinary practice managers with essential skills to support hospital success through focused development in leadership, financial literacy, and operational efficiency. Organized around three core themes: team, finances, and operations, the program emphasizes practical learning that supports sustainable performance in a veterinary hospital environment. The curriculum follows a progressive educational lifecycle in which practice managers first develop self-awareness as leaders, then build the communication and influence skills necessary to effectively lead teams. Participants next gain an understanding of how money works within a veterinary hospital and how financial data informs decision-making. The curriculum then connects financial insight to daily operational choices, demonstrating how systems and workflows impact both financial performance and team well-being. The course culminates in real-world application, enabling participants to integrate leadership, financial, and operational concepts into practical hospital systems. The course begins with a kickoff session to review the outline, goals, and expectations. Each week, participants will engage in interactive, one-hour online sessions, culminating in a final wrap-up discussion on goal setting and implementation. Upon completion, participants will earn twenty (20) CE hours.
