Course overview
The HIV epidemic has slowed from a period of rapid growth during the mid-1980s to late 1980s to a more stable epidemic. Florida, however, is the third leading state in reporting of new AIDS cases. While the number of patients benefiting from antiretroviral therapy is significant, not all patients obtain maximal benefit related to a varied factors including the continued associated stigma of HIV associated disease. This continuing education program will update Florida healthcare professionals’ clinical knowledge of the care of patients with and issues surrounding HIV/AIDS and to meet the Florida state relicensure requirements for healthcare professionals.
