Course overview

This course examines dancers through the lens of hypermobility, highlighting the critical distinction between flexibility and hypermobility for safe and effective training and rehabilitation. Participants will explore common compensatory movement patterns in the shoulder girdle and lumbopelvic complexes that can increase injury risk. This interactive course encourages participants to actively engage in exercises designed to enhance proprioception, improve movement efficiency, and reduce compensatory patterns. Through a combination of lecture, demonstration, and hands-on practice, clinicians, coaches, and studio owners will gain practical strategies to support dancer health and performance.
